If semi-precious stones have their own cache of best kept secrets, then one of them is definitely Larimar. It's a rare form of Pectolite that has only been found in a remote mountain range of the Dominican Republic. Larimar was reportedly discovered in 1916 by Father Miguel Domingo Fuertes Loren. Named for Miguel's daughter, Larissa, and "mar," the Spanish word for "sea," Larimar captures the exquisite beauty of the Caribbean Sea.
This is a beautiful oval shaped Larimar stone set in Bali style sterling silver. The large center stone measures 1/2 inch and the bracelet extends up to 8 inches.
