Summer is in full swing and the sales are sizzling at Laura Moore Designs! People are excited to get out and about, and there is a lot of pent-up demand for shopping. We’re getting back to a new normal after the Covid pandemic. Thankfully we were able to survive the pandemic shutdown with some much-needed assistance. Laura was awarded two artists grants – one from the State of Maryland, and the other from the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County. You may also have noticed that she has been at Local by Design Downtown more often.
We are updating our show schedule, and the August schedule is live. It’s going to be a busy fall and holiday season for shows, many of which were postponed from earlier in the year. With Navy parents’ weekend coming up in August, we will have a lot of anchor merchandise.
We are introducing a brand-new line of Larimar. Go to the Larimar tab on the home page and you can see how beautiful the stone is and read about its origin.
Lastly, the Moore family rescued an adorable hound/beagle mix during the pandemic. Her first birthday is coming up in August. Meet Layla Blu Moore! She has made a few appearances at Local by Design and was very popular, she loves people! But she will need to calm down a bit before she goes to work with Mommy ☺. Life with Layla has inspired Laura, so look for new dog products soon. Did someone say nautical dog bandanas?
